Short version: No purchase necessary. One entry per person. You must be 18+ and live, or have a business operating, in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC or Delaware. The prize is a custom web app built by us within a defined scope. Hosting, domains and other ongoing costs are not included. Cheating or false information means disqualification. Not affiliated with Apple, Google, Meta or any platform. Our decisions are final.
01 Eligibility
The TIMBUKTU Web App Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is open only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who either (a) reside in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC or Delaware, or (b) own or are authorized to act for a business or organization that operates in one of those four areas. You must also be located in the United States when you enter.
Not eligible: owners, members, employees, contractors and interns of TIMBUKTU LLC or any of its divisions (Pyrite, Faust Technology, SolidPlan, EarlyBird, TMT Media, HARHAR Garage), their immediate family members, and people living in the same household as any of them. Void where prohibited by law.
02 Entry Period
The Giveaway begins at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time on November 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on December 31, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Entries received outside the Entry Period are void. Our server clock is the official time source.
03 How to Enter
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Buying a product or service does not increase your chances.
To enter, complete the Web App Giveaway entry on our contact page, including every required field and acknowledgment: your name, contact details, the eligible state, ZIP code and city, a basic description of what you would like built, who will use it, key features, and a preferred start timeline. Entry through any other method is not accepted.
- One entry per person, per email address, per phone number, per business and per household. Variations of the same email (such as added dots or plus tags), multiple identities and entries on behalf of others are treated as duplicates.
- Entries must be submitted by the entrant personally. Automated, scripted, bulk, purchased or third-party entry services are prohibited.
- Disposable or temporary email addresses are not accepted.
- The ZIP code you enter must match the state you select. We may also compare entry data against network location and other fraud signals.
04 Prize
One (1) winner will receive a custom website or web application designed and built by TIMBUKTU LLC through its Pyrite division (the "Prize"), for the winner's hobby, project or business. The Prize scope is up to, and not beyond, the "Option 6 Custom Web Application" category described in our project intake form, as further defined, limited and agreed in a written Prize Scope Statement that TIMBUKTU LLC prepares with the winner. TIMBUKTU LLC decides in its sole discretion what features and size fit within the Prize. Features beyond that scope may be offered as optional paid work, and the winner is under no obligation to buy it.
Not included unless the Prize Scope Statement says otherwise in writing: domain names and renewals, hosting and infrastructure fees, paid third-party services, plugins, licenses, payment processing fees, content writing, photography, trademarks, legal or regulatory compliance work, ongoing maintenance, support and updates, and any applicable taxes. The winner is solely responsible for those costs.
The Prize has no cash value, may not be sold, assigned, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash, and no substitution is offered except by TIMBUKTU LLC at its sole discretion. Delivery timing is set by TIMBUKTU LLC based on its schedule and the project; any timeline an entrant states is a preference only.
05 Winner Selection and Notification
After the Entry Period closes, the winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries, on or about January 15, 2027. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Entries are reviewed for eligibility and fraud before and after the drawing.
The selected entrant will be notified by the email address and, if needed, the phone number provided. The entrant must respond within seven (7) days of the first notice attempt. If the entrant does not respond, cannot be verified, is found ineligible, declines the Prize, or the proposed project is unlawful, unsafe, infeasible within the Prize scope or conflicts with these Rules, the Prize is forfeited and TIMBUKTU LLC may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. A notification email is not a guarantee of the Prize until verification and the agreement below are complete.
06 Verification and Winner Agreement
Before any work begins, the selected entrant must (a) confirm identity, age and eligibility, (b) if qualifying through a business, provide reasonable proof that the business operates in an eligible area and that the entrant is authorized to act for it (for example a state registration, license, lease, tax or utility record), and (c) sign a short Winner Agreement and Prize Scope Statement that include these Rules, a release of claims, and ownership and license terms. TIMBUKTU LLC will not ask for payment cards or Social Security numbers to claim the Prize. If you are asked for them in connection with this Giveaway, it did not come from us. Do not send them and contact us right away.
07 Fraud, Cheating and Disqualification
TIMBUKTU LLC may, in its sole discretion and at any time before or after the drawing, disqualify any entry or entrant, and withdraw a Prize already announced, if it believes the person: provided false, incomplete, misleading or inaccurate information (including location, identity, age or business details); submitted multiple or duplicate entries under any identity; used bots, scripts, VPNs or proxies to disguise location, disposable emails, fake or borrowed identities, or entry services; interfered with the website, the entry form or the drawing; harassed or threatened anyone; or otherwise acted in violation of these Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive way.
Attempting to damage or undermine the operation of this website or the Giveaway may violate criminal and civil law. TIMBUKTU LLC reserves the right to preserve entry records, report suspected fraud to law enforcement or platform providers, and seek all remedies available, including damages, to the fullest extent of the law.
08 Project Requirements
Projects must be lawful and appropriate. TIMBUKTU LLC will not build anything that is illegal, deceptive, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, related to gambling, weapons or controlled substances, designed to collect data unlawfully, or that would expose TIMBUKTU LLC to legal, safety or reputational risk, and may decline any project in its sole discretion. The winner must provide the content, text, images, logos, data and permissions needed and warrants they have the right to use them.
09 Ownership, License and Publicity
Subject to full payment of any agreed optional work and the winner's compliance with the Winner Agreement, the winner receives ownership of the winner's own content and a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the delivered custom work for the winner's hobby or business. TIMBUKTU LLC retains ownership of its pre-existing code, libraries, frameworks, templates, tools and know-how, and may reuse general techniques and non-confidential components. Unless the winner opts out in writing in the Winner Agreement, TIMBUKTU LLC may describe the finished project in its portfolio and marketing. Use of the winner's name or likeness beyond that requires the winner's written permission, except where prohibited by law.
10 Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability and Release
The Prize and Giveaway are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. By entering, you release and agree to hold harmless TIMBUKTU LLC, its divisions, owners, members, employees, contractors, agents and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage or liability of any kind arising from or related to your entry, participation, the Prize, or the delivery or use of the Prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law. TIMBUKTU LLC is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, garbled or undelivered entries or notices, email or network failures, technical malfunctions, human error, or any injury or damage to a computer or device. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12 Your Information
Entry information is collected by TIMBUKTU LLC to run and secure the Giveaway, contact entrants, verify and fulfill the Prize and detect fraud, and is handled under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell entrant information. Entry records, including technical data such as network location, may be kept for the Entry Period and a reasonable time afterward to resolve disputes and prevent fraud.
13 Changes, Cancellation and Governing Law
TIMBUKTU LLC may modify, suspend or cancel the Giveaway, or amend these Rules, at any time and without prior notice if fraud, technical failure, legal requirement or any other cause beyond its control affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Giveaway. If canceled, no Prize is owed except as required by law. All decisions of TIMBUKTU LLC regarding the Giveaway are final and binding.
These Rules are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes are resolved as stated in our Terms of Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
